These are the terms for using Unscroll. They are short on purpose. Using the app means you accept them.

What Unscroll is

Unscroll is an app for reading the Bible. The scripture it contains is the King James Version, which is in the public domain. Reading it is free and requires no account.

Your account, if you make one

An account is created only when you create or join a household. You are responsible for the device you are signed in on, and for anyone you invite into your household — including a child, if you invite one.

You may ask us to delete your account at any time by writing to hello@unscrollapp.com. We will delete it.

What you write stays yours

The notes you write are yours. We do not claim any right to them, we do not use them to train anything, and we do not show them to anyone — including other members of your household. See the privacy policy for exactly what is stored.

The study notes are not an authority

The study tools are generated by AI. They are checked automatically for accuracy of references and quotations, and every one of them carries a control to report an error — but they are not a substitute for your own reading, your pastor, or your church. They can be wrong about what a passage teaches. Treat them as a study aid written by a careful stranger, not as doctrine.

If you find something wrong, please report it. Because the same study is served to everyone who opens that verse, one correction fixes it for all of them.

Fair use of the app

Please do not:

• Try to break, overload, or get around the limits on our servers
• Use invite codes you were not given, or attempt to guess them
• Resell or redistribute the study text as your own work
• Use the app to harass anyone in your household

We may close an account that does any of these. If we do, we will tell you why.

Paid features

Some features are paid. Any purchase is handled by Apple through the App Store, under Apple’s terms — including refunds, which Apple administers rather than us. Prices and what each tier includes are shown in the app before you buy.

No warranty

Unscroll is provided as it is. We work to keep it accurate and available, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we are not liable for loss arising from using it. Nothing here limits any right you have under the consumer law where you live.

Which law applies

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and any dispute belongs to the state or federal courts sitting in Texas.

Before it gets that far, please write to hello@unscrollapp.com. Nearly everything that looks like a dispute is a misunderstanding, and we would rather fix it than argue about it.

Changes

If these terms change materially, we will say so in the app rather than only updating this page.
